In the summer of 2022, I along with my peer were mentored by Dr. Art Poland in our publication through the George Mason University College of Science, Physics, and Astronomy. Our project involved the use of Linux OS, IDL Programming, and scientific principles such as the Doppler Effect to measure the velocities of the Sun’s ionized magnetic loops to further understand the heating of its Corona.
