This past summer, I returned to Northwestern University to conduct research with the Additive Manufacturing(AM) research team of the McCormick School of Engineering. My research included the training and application of an image-based Time Series machine learning model used in Laser Powder Bed Fusion(LBPF) processes. Specifically, I annotated over 6,000 keyhole deformation images using ImageJ in current LBPF practices to train my model on. Currently taking a break to pursue other endeavors, but have the full dataset ready to pick up on.
